Laura and all Tube feeding moms

I tried to call but no answer and I figured maybe some other moms can join this one? I found out the single dose syringes are called " Lure Locks' . The DME can supply with a perscription and I know this is going to make my life easier. Who wants to mix and disolve medication at 3 in the morning when you can do it after dinner and have the syringes filled and ready for use prn.

Sorry I have been out of touch lately. I will answer the emails I have received now and if I miss one feel free to email me again. I have been in patient with the kids almost the entire month of Feb. Things should slow down now.

LUER LOCK...Yup, we get 5 and 10 ml sizes of these from home health. I never have the need to fill for later use so I cannot say if they leak or not but I can tell you the ones we get do not have a cap for them. That does not mean they don't make one with a cap though. Hmm..I'm trying to think how well they fit on med port of extension tube..I've just been using slip tips lately.
I found this site that just listed tip after tip of "Tube Tips". You can't take it all as gospel but it had some useful ideas i.e. the curling ribbon trick. I'll try to find and e-mail ya the link.
Glad you are home and have ditched those weighted jackets. Is G. loving the new tube? Ya know as much as one can love an appliance growing out of one's belly? Speaking of appliances etc.. I need to go tend to the two my son has and get him on the path to bed.
Tell Joan to hang in there. BTW my sister is collecting her urine for 24 hrs to check and see if the growths on her adrenals are producing any hormones. SHe has all of the symptoms of the pheochromocytoma stuff. In her case it could be a good thing if it is. We shall see.

Haaaaaaaaaaa! The Guy at DME said Luer Lock and figures I would spell it wrong. No cap? He told me they do not leak whatsoever? ack!!!!! I hope he is right. Is Luer Lock just the name or does the name imply locking of the syringe once meds are placed? Is a slip tip the blue small attachments that crack after only a few uses? Thank you for the Tube tip ie. curling ribbon. He does like his pretty new tube!!!!!! He will like it more once the spasms stop. He still cant bring anything in by mouth as it intensifies those spasms. Hope Mr. Beautiful goes down for bed easy for you. Thanx!!!!!!!!!xoxoxox
