Re: questions about entocort
Megan used entocort for 3 months after predinsone wore off and 6mp wasn't working enough. It helped minimally with symptoms, but labs were basically unchanged. Once we started off it, symptoms came back with a vengence. Doc pulled her off due to puberty setting in. You don't want your child on this if they are remotely in or near puberty. It is easier to wean off and virtually no side effects other than possible growth stunting with long term use.
Wonder if he can get back on remicade? How long has he been off? If it's been 2 years, that might not be a possibility (can form antibodies to it and react or it won't work).
Sorry to hear he's inflammed again. They probably should have kept him on the Remicade for maintenance.

Re: Re: questions about entocort
My daughter was on entocort for 22 months. It was the best drug for her; however four months into it, she stopped growing. Just be cautious of that.
Why don't you want to go back on Remicade?

Re: Re: questions about entocort
Daughter was on entocort for 4 months with no real change in symptoms. She did start to have pred like side-effects. Not as noticable but still mooning and weight gain. I don't think it did her any good at all. Every child is different, maybe it will work for your child.
