Re: another humira question
In Rhode Island, Humira is not covered for in home use (I'm not sure if this is just our insurance or all carriers). We are a military family and were able to get around it by getting it through our military pharmacy (a one-month supply). We did the first two rounds of injections at the hospital, and I had to demonstrate that I could do it. Not having any medical background, I felt better doing it that way!Best of luck!

Re: another humira question
We have to go through a mail order specialty pharmacy through the insurance. It is mailed to our door as well, only 1 box at a time (2 injections). It works out well!

Re: another humira question
We get a three month supply at a time through our pharmacy just like any other drug. It probably depends on your insurance. On the other hand, our son's growth hormone needs to come from a specialty pharmacy and is shipped to us as required by insurance.

Re: another humira question
We get ours at the local grocery store pharmacy. They have to order it so it takes a day or two but it has worked out fine.

Re: another humira question
we use caremark pharmacy (because it is what our insurance company says we have to use!) and they deliver 2 shots at a time to our house! that has been a great perk. they put it in a cooler and leave it on the porch. they call the day of and let us know when to expect it. it can stay in the cooler for 5 hours, so we don't even have to hurry home.
