Re: OT: "West and Wewaxation" as Elmer Fudd says.
How's about all those PBS movies of Jane Austen's books? My Big Fat Greek Wedding is a hoot. And the Katherine Hepburn movies (the ones that were funny) - I just loved her dry delivery of classic lines. Bringing up Baby (with Cary Grant), the classic Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (with Spencer Tracy), and of course the African Queen (with Humphrey Bogart). You've gotten a lot of suggestions for more recent ones. I did love Julie and Julia but it's not really a love story. Have fun and pass the popcorn.

Re: OT: "West and Wewaxation" as Elmer Fudd says.
This is a topic that I really like. I love to watch movies and so does my son. When he would be sick we would watch movies and more movies. I like Adam Sandler and the movie "Bedtime Stories" that he was in was really good. I also liked all the Vacation movies with Chevy Chase. And all the American Pie movies and the Friday movies (can you tell I watch movies with my kids ). And as I told Mary S I love Drew Barrymore too and simply loved "50 First Dates". I also like Reese Witherspoon and loved her in "Just Like Heaven". "Sweet Home Alabama", & "Walk the Line". I like comedies alot and have alot of them (older goofy ones) in my collection like "Tommy Boy", "The Great Outdoors", "Meet the Parents", "Meet the Fockers", "Cheaper by the dozen 1 & 2", "The Animal", "Grandma's Boy", "40 Year Old Virgin", "Over Her Dead Body", & "Mad Money" - good one with Diane Keaton, Queen Latifa & Katie Holmes, just to name a few. Can you tell I love to watch movies?!!!!!
Happy Watching !!!! Virgie - slowing going insane (again) so should take your advice and watch a movie

"Under The Tuscan Sun". Great chick flick with a good ending. I have seen it several times.

Re: OT: "West and Wewaxation" as Elmer Fudd says.
"While You Were Sleeping" is definitely #1 on my all time list.
Never tire of watching that movie. Basically anything with Sandra Bullock is #1 viewing for my west and wewaxation. Happened on "Practical Magic" one day that I hadn't seen before and loved it.I am drawn to flicks with Meryl Streep, Drew Barrymore, Diane Keaton, Julia Roberts. Add in some Steve Martin or Hugh Grant, or..... and I am a happy camper. Most recently I enjoyed "The Holiday" with Cameron Diaz which I also hadn't seen before. MaryS

Mary, I love Drew!! I have worn out my "50 First Dates" dvd. I like Diane Keaton also. The one where she acquired the baby "Baby Boomers" (I think - my mind is foggy from lack of sleep) was really good and has been watched alot.I love to watch movies!!!!!! Virgie

I can't wait until February 5th when Dear John comes out. One of my favorite books by Nicholas Sparks. I hope they don't change the story too much. Bring the tissues-the trailer gives me goosebumps.

Re: OT: "West and Wewaxation" as Elmer Fudd says.
My daughter would give you praise and adoration all day long. I refuse to watch chick flicks with her or anybody else for that matter. Give me a good thriller/murder/suspense/mystery/action and you have a date! Did I mention Lovely Bones was a great movie . Pearl if you are ever interested in a de stress moment with a good serious movie call me!

Re: Re: OT: "West and Wewaxation" as Elmer Fudd says.
Chaya, You saw "The Lovely Bones". I am dying to see that one!!! I read the book awhile ago and really liked it. I could hardly put the book down. I was wondering if the movie was as good as the book. So if you liked it, it should be good.
